Men's Tennis Advances One Singles Player and One Doubles Team to Championship Match

The Arizona State men's tennis team has one singles player and one doubles team that made it to their respective finals at the 2008 Pac-10 Men's Tennis Championships at the Ojai Valley Tennis Club in Ojai, Calif. Wes Miller will compete in the Pac-10 Invitational Singles Championship. T.J. Bellama and Matt Brooklyn, the No. 2 seeded doubles team, will continue on to the final.

Wes Miller earned a spot in the championship match with a win over Washington's David Chu. The No. 4 seeded Miller defeated Chu in straight sets, winning 6-3, 6-1. Miller will compete against No. 2 seed Bozhidar Katasarov from California tomorrow at 9:30 a.m.

Bellama and Brooklyn took on their instate rival team of Bruno Alcala and Claudio Christen from Arizona in the semi-final. The No. 43 ranked Sun Devil doubles team handily defeated the Wildcats top doubles team 8-3 to continue on to the championship match. Bellama and Brooklyn will compete against USC's No. 1 seeded Robert Farah and Kaes Van't Hof. The match begins at 2 p.m. tomorrow.
