High School: A 2004 graduate of Fort Collins High School (Fort Collins, Colo.)...four-time state champion in both the shot put and the discus...undefeated in both as a senior...2004 Heisman High School and Steinmark Athlete of the Year Finalist...in 2004, ranked as No. 1 shot putter in the nation and No. 2 in the discus...Top 5 in nation in both as a junior...All-America in both events twice (2003, 2004)...selected all-state, all-conference all four years...track athlete of the year (2003, 2004)...competed at the high school level as an eighth grader allowing her to place among the Top 5 at state championship meets for five years in a row (third in shot put)...holds several school records, including shot put and discus at Hot Springs HS in Hot Springs, S.D., and FCHS...other records include conference, region, South Dakota state records, all-time Colorado discus and 5A state meet and AAU Jr. Olympic shot put record (2000)...Golden West Champion in 2004...was an all-state selection for basketball (2003, 2004) and volleyball (2001) as well as all-conference in basketball (2000, 2001, 2004) and volleyball (2001)...hoops went to state Final 4 in 2004, Elite 8 in 2002, 2003...South Dakota volleyball state champions in 2000 and 2001...captained the track and field and basketball teams as a junior and senior.
